A note from Shine on Humanity: Our online travel auction is raising money for pre-production and costs to produce a trailer for the documentary, Against the Odds: The Power of Community to Overcome. In 2022 (as of October 11), there were 15 weather/climate disaster events with losses exceeding $1 billion each to affect the United States. There is always a calculation of the cost to the built environment. What's missing is the same examination of how individuals, and communities are impacted. Through our storytelling, we will share stories of the heartbreak of loss, and how people find the hope, courage, and inspiration for post-disaster recovery and resilience.
